Electric Soulside Label: Ruff Dog Recordings Electric Soulside are Belgian duo Patrick and Steve Hoody, who have been tweaking synths under a number of different guises since the late 90s. Two strong releases on Dylan Rhymes’ Label Blue Black Records in 2004 saw DJ support across the board from Meat Katie to Medicine 8. They have been tipped for big things by many and with this release its not difficult to see why. Shining is a fantastic example of what can happen when old skool breakbeat meets new skool electro in a head on collision. Screaming leads, subtle acid licks, dirty surging basslines and vocal snippets together create an extremely well produced track which will work late night dancefloors into a frenzy. Price:
