Far Too Loud - Fundamental

Far Too Loud
Fundamental

Label: Funkatech

When Far Too Loud won 'Best Single' at Breakspoll this year for their incredible 'Get High' single, the triumph and jubilation was followed by widespread concern from media pundits that everybody's favourite psychedilic-glitch-breaks-trance producers had peaked too soon. Would they get prematurely drunk off success and be unable to replicate it? Was this the end of techno-house-euro-bassline-with-cd-skips as we knew it? The story is a familiar one: young impressionable ghetto youths gain quick success and then lose their way in a haze of drink, drugs and ostentatious wealth.

Well, people, you may rest once more. And then you may dance. Implausible as it seems, Far Too Loud have outdone themselves with this single. 'Play It Loud' is a true dancefloor gem, proving that FTL are no one-time wonders. Four-to-the-floor beats provide the backbone for what is, no argument please, the dirtiest bassline of the year. It's as uncomplicated as it is ingenious: a gargantuan bassline, irresistible beats, other-worldly synths and the odd stutter edit to break a few ankles and spill a few drinks. And for the producers there's a few bars of jackable beats at the end of the track - do yer worst! What we can't understand is how these three juvenile delinquents with a combined age of about 13 can produce such impossibly good music - they truly are the Federers of the breaks scene!

Flip over for the heads down trance breaks roller which is 'Fundamental', this tune will surley have all ravers infected on the dance flloor and the 2nd break and build up will have them all screwing their faces together in harmony as the the bass riff carrys them to tech heaven! Another amazing single from the Funkatech bwoys....
